A great lesson, I've just eight minutes in, and I have a question. Why is الى pronounced 'ila and not ali? Looking at the phonology and alphabet on wikipedia, it looks like الى should be ali, and يلا would be ila. And about ي, wikipedia says /i/ is written as ي with the dots, but in the video it's written as ى without the dots. Is this a dialectical difference?

Sorry for the completely novice questions.
